The POWRENTRY Fast Breach and Entry Tool is a low velocity, indirect acting tool designed to enable police, firefighters, military, and emergency response personnel quick safe entrance through locked doors, gates, security bars, fences, padlocks and other locked devices. Using a ten shot .27 Caliber low-velocity, powder-actuated strip load, the POWRENTRY develops up to 30,000 PSI of force at the point of contact.

The POWRENTRY uses specially designed breaching modules with drive/cutting heads that move at speeds over 200 feet (60m) per second. No parts separate from the tool nor are there flashes or explosions.

POWRENTRY is an indirect acting powder actuated tool (PAT). An indirect acting PAT uses the expanding gases of a powder load to drive a piston rod forward. The piston rod then engages and drives a chisel or other type of object through a lock, bolt, padlock, window bar, or other target.
MAJOR COMPONENTS OF THE POWRENTRY

SF-1 Feeding Module. The SF-1 Feeding Module contains the triggering, loading, and feeding mechanisms for the powder load strip and is the main housing for attaching the barrel assembly and firing modules. The SF-1 module is warranted for a period of one year.

FM-1 Firing Module. The FM-1 Firing Module contains a captive firing pin and the safety system. The barrel must be depressed in order to bring the cartridge into contact with the firing pin. A continuous pressure of 20 pounds is required in order to fire the tool. The FM-1 module fits into the rear of the SF-1 module. The FM-1module is warranted for a period of one year

Barrel Assembly. The barrel assembly houses the Barrel, Piston Drive Rod, and Reset Assembly. The rear of the piston captures the expanding gases from the load upon firing and drives forward engaging the rear of the Chisel or Lockbuster rod. When fully depressed, the rear of the Barrel Assembly captures and surrounds the 0.27 Caliber strip load round being fired. Pumping the Firing Module and Barrel Assembly facilitates the movement of the load strip to position the next round for firing and resets the firing mechanism. The Barrel is warranted for a period of one year

Breaching Modules. The POWRENTRY contains three Breaching Modules. Lockbuster, Flying Chisel, and Boltbuster module. Each module contains a screw on nosepiece, a drive chisel or rod and protective buffers. The nosepiece in addition to facilitating the forward movement of the appropriate breaching rod or chisel, also serves to prevent the piston rod, breaching rod or chisel from exiting the tool upon firing.

.27 Caliber Strip Loads. POWRENTRY is designed to use 0.27 Caliber Level 3 (Green) and Level 5 (Red) Strip Loads. Powder loads are color-coded for safety and identification purposes. The Green loads develop 20,000 lbs of force and are used for training. The red strip loads develop 30,000 lbs of force and are used for actual operations. Strip loads are available in the USA from IMLCORP or suppliers of powder actuated tools and equipment. .
